Rejuran (Salmon DNA Facial / Injections)

What is Rejuran? Is it Salmon DNA / Salmon Sperm?!

Rejuran is an advanced cosmetic injectable treatment product from Korea, containing Polynucleotides.

Rejuran injectables are polynucleotide treatments are cosmetic injectable procedures performed using a series of small injections placed into targeted treatment areas by a qualified practitioner.

Polynucleotides are long-chain molecules that are incorporated into personalised aesthetic treatment plans intended to support overall skin appearance, hydration and visible skin quality.

Once administered, the treatment is gradually distributed within the treated area as part of the cosmetic treatment process. Polynucleotide treatments are commonly selected by patients seeking support for skin that appears smoother, more refreshed and hydrated as part of an individualised cosmetic approach.

Treatment techniques, treatment areas and recommendations are tailored to each individual based on skin condition, cosmetic concerns and practitioner assessment.

Polynucleotide treatments may be incorporated into cosmetic treatment plans for areas including:

  • the face
  • under-eye area
  • neck
  • décolletage
  • other practitioner-assessed treatment areas

A series of treatments may be recommended depending on individual cosmetic goals and practitioner assessment.

What to expect during treatment

Your Rejuran treatment begins with a personalised consultation and skin assessment to discuss your cosmetic concerns, treatment goals and suitability.

Prior to treatment, the skin is cleansed and prepared. Depending on the treatment area and individual preferences, a topical numbing cream may be applied to support treatment comfort.

During the procedure, a series of small injections are carefully administered into the targeted treatment area by your practitioner using a tailored treatment technique.

Patients may experience temporary redness, swelling or small visible injection marks following treatment, which generally improve over time.

Treatment duration and technique vary depending on the treatment area and individual treatment plan. A series of treatments may be recommended based on practitioner assessment and cosmetic goals.

Following your appointment, personalised aftercare instructions will be provided by your practitioner.

Preparing for your Rejuran treatment

Prior to your Rejuran treatment, patients may be advised to follow practitioner-provided pre-treatment instructions to help prepare the skin and treatment area.

General pre-treatment recommendations may include:

  • avoiding excessive sun exposure prior to treatment
  • attending appointments with clean skin free from makeup where possible
  • avoiding active skincare products such as exfoliants, retinoids or acids immediately prior to treatment unless advised otherwise
  • remaining well hydrated prior to your appointment
  • informing your practitioner of any recent cosmetic treatments, skin procedures or relevant medical history
  • advising your practitioner of any medications, supplements or allergies prior to treatment

Patients experiencing active skin irritation, infection or illness may be advised to postpone treatment until reviewed by their practitioner.

A consultation is required prior to treatment to assess suitability, discuss potential risks and provide personalised treatment recommendations.
