Aesthetic Support

Aesthetic Support medical micro-needling

Medical Micro-Needling (What is it?)

Aesthetic Supports Medical Micro-Needling goes by many names.

Skin Needling, Micro-Needling or it's medical term "Collagen Induction Therapy" are to only name a few.

To increase the result of your overall treatment, there are many add-ons you may consider to select from at Aesthetic Support.

What makes micro-needling different with Aesthetic Support?

We are one of the leading providers of medical micro-needling providing our patients with low costs, maximum comfort and high standards of results.

Our core treatments cannot be done by any clinicians who are not medical, and must be conducted by a Registered Nurse or Medical Practitioner.

Our treatments are high potency and may include a prescription treatment that reduces redness, downtime, reduces recovery time and amplifies your results. Many of our patients enjoy same day to 24 hour redness resolution. There are currently no other providers with our combination treatments in the Sydney District.

I have had micro-needling before. I did not find it very effective.

Micro-Needling results can vary across beauty salons and clinics.

At Aesthetic Support, treatments may contain ingredients not provided by non-medical clinicians.

If the patient is viable, our treatments may include prescription items that reduce downtime and recovery as well as increase the result, requiring less treatments.

All patients may respond differently to treatment and every individual is unique. Quite often treatments may have been conducted by providers with Local Anaesthetic or Numbing Creams, which can reduce your results requiring more treatments.

Micro-needling and numbing cream

Micro-needling when conducted by a professional rarely requires numbing agents.

Topical anaesthetics or numbing creams may have a negative impact on your treatment, healing and results. Numbing creams may contain ingredients such as Lignocaine that when applied topically causes a bodily response called "Vasoconstriction." This may reduce blood flow to the treatment area for up to 4 hours post treatment, limiting the amount of important platelets and growth factor to flow to the treatment area. Numbing agents are not recommended by Aesthetic Support for this treatment, however for patient comfort may be applied if truly required. Numbing cream can be mildly applied when using our downtime reduction as this prescription ingredient counters the vasoconstriction of numbing agents.

What can micro-needling help?

Micro-needling has been shown to help with many concerns patients often arrive with.

This includes:

  • Fine lines and wrinkles
  • Saggy eyelids
  • Loose Skin
  • Loss of Collagen and Elasticty
  • Pigmentation
  • Uneven Skin Tone
  • Acne Scarring
  • Dull Skin

Amongst many more concerns.

What to expect from my microneedling treatment?

Micro-needling is a quick and comfortable treatment.

Initially, your skin will be assessed and yourself consulted, any additives or add-ons you'd like discussed any questions answered.

Your face will then be cleansed and exfoliated.

As you comfortably lay back, relax and close your eyes, the clinician will begin treatment by gently gliding the device along your skin with your chosen ingredients.

At the end of treatment, a healing PDRN ointment is applied and aftercare discussed.

It is important to book your following consecutive sessions 4-6 weeks apart, and 4 sessions are recommended for maximum results.

It is advised to repeat treatment every 3 months to maximise upkeep and maintenance, however you may do this treatment as often as required.

It is important to abide by the pre and aftercare of the treatment, as not following care guidelines can result in both diminished treatment outcomes and adverse events. Side effects are to be avoided at all costs as some may be both long term or permanent concerns.

Arrive on time, plan to arrive 10min before your appointment time, consider parking may be difficult as it is a busy CBD area.

If late, your appointment will be re-scheduled. To reschedule requires payment of the late fee. Please not book appointments you cannot make, as the clinicians and patient booked after you's time are important too. :)

Treatments that compliment Microneedling

There are multiple add-ons or complimentary treatments available at Aesthetic Support for micro-needling.

Ask in clinic what these are.

These include but are not limited to:
Upgrading to SkinPen & Downtime and Redness Reduction (Recommended)

The Downtime Reduction prescription ingredient counteracts the negative impact numbing agents have on micro-needling, therefore a mild numbing can be applied with treatment.

All add-on treatments come with downtime reduction and an upgrade to SkinPen.
