Exosomes

Exosomes as a treatment are often applied to the skin or scalp in an effort to increase hair health and density or skin health.

Exosomes are small nano-sized vesicles that are produced and released by human cells that contain proteins.

Once exosomes are pushed outside a cell they play a crucial role in cell-to-cell communication with the ability to transfer information and change the behaviour of neighbouring cells.

This intercellular communication can influence:

• Cell regeneration

• Tissue repair

It is important to note that exosomes are not cells themselves; they are small vesicles released by cells and are incapable of reproduction. They are cell-free, DNA-free and their main function is to influence other cells giving them a favourable safety profile.

Exosomes are the perfect treatment combination with micro-needling.

What is the downtime? 

Redness may occur after treatment as redness is downtime received from micro-needling. You may be red for an average of 3 days, however with each day redness reduces.

How often should I do this treatment?

Exosomes can also be used to assist in the thickening of hair follicles and to encourage hair growth, via applying to the scalp with light micro-needling. What is the downtime?

Downtime from this treatment is minimal, you may only wash your hair with water and no product for 72 hours, refraining from exercise, 72 hours.
